Hello World!

I am Maryam

Who am I? Well I'm just your average software engineer. What what? That can't be right? Oh oops ... wrong bio. I am a biomedical and electrical engineer by training with a passion for making things be it hardware or software. This website which you have stumbled across is a place for me to showcase any projects I've worked on.

Software projects

Here are a bunch of projects I've worked on which involve a bunch of hours banging keys on a keyboard and crying in frustration when semicolons go missing.

Intergrated Concussion Assessment System (I-CAS)

Development of an Android application that acts as a comprehensive and objective method for clinicians and health care professionals to track the recovery of concussions through the measurement of multiple metrics.

Hardware projects

Here are a bunch of hardware related projects I've worked on ranging from 3D printers and pinball machines to Electrocardiograms

3D Printer Development

Building a Prusa Mendel 3D printer! This project also involved the development of custom software and firmware to allow for remote printing and tracking of print progress

Electrocardiogram (ECG) System

Designing and development of a system to measure a person's ECG signal and heart rate. This project utilized concepts of signal amplification, filtering, and proper user isolation in hardware as well as signal processing techniques in software in the development of a system to measure a person's ECG signal and heart rate

Electromyogram (EMG) Flappy Bird Circuit

Designed and implemented a circuit which converts EMG signals to a mouse click using concepts of signal amplification, filtering, rectification and proper user isolation to allow the user to play flappy birds!
